ABOUT
Dr Roberts has had a long and distinguished career. He began as a costs clerk with Taylor Woodrow (West Africa) Ltd before moving to the civil service in Sierra Leone. Between 1952-62 he served with the RAF and qualified as a pay accountant before selection for aircrew. He is a qualified pilot and air traffic control officer. He later joined the civil service in the UK and worked for the Post Office Savings Bank and the Inland Revenue.
He was called to the bar in 1969, took silk in 1988, and sat as an Assistant Recorder and Recorder of the Crown Court from 1983-2000. He is a Bencher of Gray’s Inn, and has been called to the bar in Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, the Bahamas, Barbados, Bermuda, Jamaica, St. Kitts and Nevis, Sierra Leone, and Trinidad and Tobago. He is a former Justice of the Supreme Courts of the British Virgin Islands and Anguilla in the British West Indies.
