EXPERTISE

Suman has a mixed practice which covers all aspects of crime and immigration and asylum law. Her immigration work includes asylum applications, human rights appeals, bail applications, entry clearance cases, student visa cases, immigration appeals, and judicial review. She has an excellent understanding of South Asian culture, and has dealt with asylum cases relating to, inter alia, Colombia, the Democratic Republic of Congo, India, Kosovo, Pakistan, Sierra Leone, and Somalia. She is attends hearings across the UK.

She also has extensive experience of criminal law (prosecution and defence) and is regularly instructed by the Department for Work and Pensions, HM Revenue and Customs, and the Crown Prosecution Service.
